| Democrats dread drawn-out, costly campaign
And especially you can't undo an election where 1.7 million Florida Democrats have gone to vote in a secret ballot and replace it with a caucus that maybe 50,000 people would show up," Nelson added. One thing is clear: The longer that Clinton and Obama go at it, the more it will cost them. In a conference call Friday, Clinton's campaign announced she has raised $8 million online since polls closed in California on Tuesday and nearly $10 million online since February 1. And 75,000 new donors pledged their financial support to Clinton since polls closed on Super Tuesday, according to her campaign. On Thursday, the Illinois senator's campaign announced it had raised $7.2 million in the first 36 hours after polls closed on Super Tuesday.

Porsche unveils SUV after exiting Detroit
Porsche unveils SUV after exiting Detroit Cayenne GTS, Windy City event both touted as performing best-in-class. Eric Morath / The Detroit News CHICAGO -- Porsche AG showed its 2008 Cayenne GTS SUV for the first time in North America at the Chicago Auto Show on Thursday, just a couple weeks after the German automaker was a no-show in Detroit. In unveiling the latest Cayenne model, Porsche described the GTS as the best-performing on-road SUV in the market. While the new version gives up some of the standard Cayenne's off-road capabilities, a 405-horsepower V-8 engine and lower-riding sport suspension make the SUV nearly track worthy, officials said. But the unveiling seemed to be as much about Chicago as the Cayenne. Company officials talked about how Chicago is a strong market for the automaker.
NFL gets the TMQ seal of approval
So explain to me why people complain about quality of play in the NFL. This season, it's been a sports talk clich to say the NFL is mediocre, there's too much parity, it's me-too, there's not enough innovation. From where TMQ sits, quality of play has never been higher. Complaints about supposed runaway parity seem especially weak in a season when one team finished 16-0 and another went 1-15. How much more variation would you like? As reader Matt Miller of Portland, Ore., notes, the best-worst gap in the NFL this season was wider than in any other professional sport. Miller writes, "In baseball, the Red Sox and Indians led the league with winning percentages of .593, and the Devil Rays came in last at .407. Can you imagine the cries of awful parity if there was an NFL season where the best team went 9-7 and the worst team went 7-9? Translated into NFL schedule terms, that's what happened in major league baseball this season.

Lake managers at Los Vaqueros stocked 5,000 pounds of rainbow trout on Wednesday, perfect for the upcoming Labor Day holiday. This is not your typical stock of dinkers from the Department of Fish and Game. These fish were raised at the Calaveras Trout Farm, purchased by the water district, and average 1 to 3 pounds, with a sprinkling of trophy-size fish. The plants are paid from the $3.75 daily fishing fee that anglers pay at Los Vaqueros. The lake is 96 percent full. Best prospects are during cool mornings when the wind is down. GodTube website seeks to bring gospel to the young
Based on the concept of secular sites such as YouTube, Facebook, and MySpace, GodTube users can put up their own videos and message each other. The website is not linked to any one Christian denomination. All people can use GodTube, say the site organisers, but there is a monitoring policy. As well as the young girls recitation of Psalm 23, other popular postings include an Easter video called Jesus painting, and a video made for Forest Pointe Church in Belmont, North Carolina, based on excerpts from Most, a short film about life and death choices that was nominated for an Academy Award. There are also videos of songs and sermons. Each posting has its own category: under inspirational, catholic church, men, browsers can view: Best shot of the day at the 17th hole on the Stanford Golf Course.
